Ipswich were saving their first Premier League win of the season for a special game and they got it when they visited Tottenham Hotspur Stadium!

The newcomers scored in the first half with Smodix’s reverse scissors kick in the 31st minute and Delap’s easy goal in the 43rd minute giving them a safe lead against Angelos Postecoglou’s side. The “spurs”, who in yet another league match saw the opponent open the scoring, reduced it with Bedakur’s header in the 69th minute, but at the final whistle, the guests were the ones left to celebrate!

In Manchester, Leicester visited Old Trafford without Jamie Vardy with a back problem and the Red Devils, in Ruud van Nistelrooy’s last match as manager, comfortably cruised to a 3-0 final. Bruno Fernandes was again the star – although he had not even scored in 13 games for Ten Haag – finding the net once again with a fine finish in the 17th minute.

The Portuguese captain wanted to be credited for his team’s second goal as well, when in the 38th minute he claimed a charge in the “foxes” area, but the ball went against Christiansen and in the end an own goal was charged. Garnazzo made the final 3-0 with one of his most characteristic goals, unleashing an improbable right-footed shot in the 82nd minute.

Newcastle at the City Ground halted the momentum of Nuno Santo’s side and reached the final 3-1 with a second-half upset. Mourinho, scoring for the first time this year, had put Forest in front from the 21st minute, however, the Magpies secured what they fought for in the second half.

In 54′ Issac was right where he needed to be to place and equalize from a corner, Zoelindon in 72′ took it on himself and scored with a wonderful left-footed shot, while in 83′ Barnes finished the game with a diagonal effort to write the result.
