“Isak has agreed to join Arsenal but that will happen only if they allow that guy join us in exchange”: Newcastle United’s coach Eddie Howe demands ONE Arsenal’s attacker in exchange for Alexander Isak

Arsenal are reportedly prioritising signing Sporting CP star Viktor Gyokeres, as per transfer journalist Graeme Bailey.
The Gunners hold a long-term interest in the Swedish international as they were reportedly interested in him last summer having been impressed by his performances last term.
In 50 appearances in all competitions, the 26-year-old scored 43 goals and registered 15 assists. Moreover, he guided his team to win the Liga Portugal title.
However, Mikel Arteta eventually opted not to make a move for him and, in the end, he remained at Jose Alvalade Stadium.
This season, he has continued to display his goal-scoring prowess, scoring 43 goals and registering 11 assists in 43 appearances in all competitions. Additionally, he has been helping his side to defend their league title, sitting at the top of the table with seven matches remaining.
Now, reporting on TBR Football, Bailey says that Arsenal are planning to reinforce the centre-forward position this summer and their scouts like Gyokeres very much having watched him closely in recent times. So, Arsenal have earmarked the Sporting star as the primary target.
Gyokeres to Arsenal
The forward has come to know about the North London club’s serious interest in signing him and a move to the Emirates Stadium is appealing for him. He isn’t concerned about money and wants to join a club with the right project.
Gyokeres has been impressed by the North London club’s approach and they are his first-choice destination at the moment. Therefore, this is a huge boost for Mikel Arteta’s side in pursuit of him.
The striker reportedly has a £85m release clause in his current contract but he has an agreement with Sporting to leave this summer for a fee of at least £51m.
Gyokeres is quick, strong, good in the air, can link up the play, has the efficiency of finishing off his chances and is also excellent in taking penalties. Therefore, he has the necessary attributes to flourish in the Premier League.
The Sporting star could be a shrewd acquisition for Arsenal if they purchase him. However, it is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club can eventually manage to secure his service.
