He continues:
– At training on Monday he ran among the players, used the whistle, went into duels and was so involved. It’s like you get a stronger bond when you see a coach being so involved. And from the first pictures when he met Mount and Mainoo, he gives them a baby hug. He gave a really warm and good hug. It’s a little thing, but I don’t think it’s just your little thing. It’s about who he is as a person.
The belief in a new era of greatness is back in full force, if we are to believe the editor.
– We have always believed before, we have always hoped before, but it has always gone wrong. And then we know that it will most likely go wrong, but still we believe and hope – and are a little naive and think that this can go well, he says.
He sees for seg two scenarios.
– The best scenario is that United win everything for the rest of the season and become league champions. That we take league gold number 21, that Liverpool doesn’t keep things going and that United gets eight points better than City. We don’t do that, but that naivety, that faith and that hope live on, he says.
And the worst case scenario?
– That we end up in the middle of the table. But right now we can’t think that maybe – most likely – it’s going a little badly. We have to think that this can work, he says.
