Medical Completed: Another top player has completed his medical to join Arsenal as the superstar is set to pen five-years deal today

With the transfer window now in full swing, Arsenal are one of the Premier League clubs that are yet to make a signing so far this summer.

The North London side have finished as top-flight runners up in each of the past three seasons, and manager Mikel Arteta is therefore likely to want to bolster his squad in order to mount another title challenge next term.

Despite this, the Gunners are yet to make a signing so far, although it appears that could be about to change.

According to Africa Foot via TBR Football, Arsenal are in pole position to sign Leicester City midfielder Bilal El Khannouss after agreeing personal terms with the player.

The report claims that the Gunners have reached an agreement with El Khannouss’ agents, and are now working to finalise a deal with the Foxes.

Khannouss joined Leicester from Belgian side Genk last summer and was one of the few players that impressed for the club last term as they were relegated back down to the Championship after a disastrous campaign.

In total the Morocco international made 36 appearances for the Foxes, including 32 in the Premier League.

The 21-year-old scored twice and provided three assists in the competition, as well as netting in the Carabao Cup.

El Khannouss is contracted to Leicester until 2028 but the report suggests that he could be on his way to The Emirates, with Gunners boss Arteta said to be a huge admirer of the player who he believes to have significant potential.
