Medical Ongoing: Player currently undergoing medical to join Arsenal as Gunnner prepared to make deal official today

Arsenal are poised to strengthen the forward department with multiple signings this summer.
A marquee striker is the top priority for the Gunners, but a versatile winger could be signed too.
Christian Falk (via CFBayernInsider) has now revealed that Arsenal have ‘taken concrete steps’ to sign Bayern Munich forward Leroy Sane.
The Gunners have started talks with his agent Pini Zahavi, and are aiming to hijack Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of the Germany international.
Arsenal signing Sane would be a surprise
The 29-year-old has been a key player for the Bavarian giants, but his minutes have reduced over the past year with the signing of Michael Olise.
His current £220,000 per week deal expires on June 30. Bayern have offered a £153,000 weekly package, but he has yet to accept the proposal.
Sane is obviously eyeing a bigger salary offer, which could pave the way for a free transfer.
Arsenal have been repeatedly credited with an interest, and it does not surprise us, given manager Mikel Arteta’s former association with the forward.

Arteta was Manchester City’s assistant manager during Sane’s time at the Mancunian outfit.
We still believe the speculation could be agent-driven rather than Arsenal making an effort to sign him.
As per Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, the Schalke graduate is ‘being offered to clubs, rather than clubs going out to try and sign him’.
It could certainly be the case. Arsenal need an upgrade on Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard on the left wing, and Sane does not offer that.
He would represent a backward signing for the Gunners, even on a free transfer. He is no longer in his prime and has shown signs of regression.
