“I want him to join Arsenal but he’s a Manchester United’s fan and he has threatened to take legal action if I dare speak to any other team apart from Man United ”: Agent of Europe’s most wanted striker has revealed his player has agreed to join Manchester United in the summer transfer window

Manchester United’s miserable season took a new low yesterday when they were eliminated from the FA Cup having been beaten by Fulham on penalties.

As a result, their only chance of ending the campaign with a trophy is the Europa League. The Red Devils are languishing 14th in the Premier League table, therefore, securing European football through the league is virtually impossible.

Hence, they’ll have to put all of their eggs in the Europa League basket to return to Europe’s elite club competition next term.

In the meantime, the summer window is approaching very quickly and Man Utd have started looking at options to strengthen the squad to help Ruben Amorim rebuild the squad.

Portuguese outlet, A Bola (news image provided below), say that Man Utd now want to sign Sporting CP star, Francisco Trincao, to reinforce the attacking department.

The 25-year-old has a £66m release clause in his current contract with his existing deal set to run until 2027 at Jose Alvalade Stadium. The Portuguese joined Sporting from Barcelona and the Blaugrana have a 50% sell-on clause.

The Lions don’t want to lose him just yet and have already held initial talks with the player’s representatives to extend his contract.

The report claims Manchester City are also in this race and their incoming sporting director, Hugo Viana, who is set to move to the Etihad Stadium from Sporting, is keen on bringing the forward to his new club.

Trincao is a left-footed player and has mainly played as a right attacker this season. Amorim used him as RW behind Gyokeres in 3-4-2-1 system for Sporting, but he can effectively play as a SS and AM as well.

The Sporting star has been enjoying a productive campaign this season, scoring nine goals and registering thirteen assists in 40 appearances in all competitions thus far.

Having previously spent brief time with Wolves on loan from Barcelona, he already has experience of playing in the Premier League.
