Done Deal: Manchester United completes another major transfer signing as the world-class striker signed five-years transfer deal with the Reds

Manchester United have been trying to hire the services of Bryan Mbeumo for weeks and as per the latest updates, the move is closer than ever.

The Red Devils have already agreed personal terms of a contract with the Cameroonian international for some time.

Now, as per an exclusive story covered by Football Transfers, Man Utd have finally reached an agreement with Brentford to sign Mbeumo.

The news source have mentioned that the Bees remained firm on their asking price of £69.5m.

They do claim that a common ground has been reached but do not specifically state that United have met the mentioned price.

If the Old Trafford outfit have actually agreed a fee worth £69.5m, then do you think they are paying over the odds?

Over the years, the 20-time champions have made it a habit of paying more than players’ market values. They did the same with Antony and Sancho and Hojlund and the trio failed.

The only difference this time around is that in Mbeumo, Man Utd are signing a star who has proved to be a hit in the Premier League with Brentford.

In the 2023-24 campaign, the 25-year-old directly contributed in 15 goals in 22 starts. Moreover, last term, he started all the PL games under Thomas Frank and directly contributed in 28 goals.
