The match between the Netherlands and Hungary for the 5th matchday of the Nations League was marred by an unfortunate event.

A few minutes after the start of the match, the assistant coach of the guests, Adam Salai, faced a serious health problem and had to be taken to the hospital to avoid the worst.

The first signs of his condition are very promising, with the Hungarian FA saying in a statement that he is in a stable condition.

The federation’s update in detail:

“Adam Salai felt unwell in the first minutes of the Netherlands-Hungary match, however his condition is stable and he is conscious. He was taken by ambulance to an Amsterdam hospital for tests.”
