Man Utd face Newcastle United in the Premier League fixture on Sunday afternoon, and this is how they could line up.

Ruben Amorim is expected to rotate his Manchester United line up when they face Newcastle in the Premier League this weekend. The trip to the north east comes either side of the crucial Europa League quarter-final tie against Lyon, as United look to salvage their season with Champions League qualification.

Amorim named an unchanged side for the first time in his United career against Lyon on Thursday night and will look to rest players on Sunday afternoon ahead of their crucial second leg next week. It means Altay Bayindir could make his Premier League debut against Newcastle, while Mason Mount could be selected instead of Alejandro Garnacho in attack.

Luke Shaw will hope to make his first appearance since he returned from injury, and Kobbie Mainoo will hope to start after he featured from the bench against Lyon in midweek. Here is how we think United should line up against Newcastle:

Newcastle defender Lewis Hall is sidelined with a foot injury, while the defensive duo of Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles are in the treatment room with knee issues.

Midfielder Joe Willock remains unavailable for selection after he missed Monday’s win over Leicester due to a concussion.

Newcastle assistant manager Jason Tindall has confirmed that a late decision will be made on Anthony Gordon’s availability, with the winger looking to recover from a groin injury in time for the home fixture.

Alexander Isak should be fit to start Sunday’s contest despite carrying a groin issue that led to him being taken off in the last two matches.

As for Man United, they remain without the services of Lisandro Martinez (knee), Jonny Evans (muscle), Ayden Heaven (ankle), Amad Diallo (ankle) and Toby Collyer (leg).

Defender Matthijs de Ligt is set to miss a third consecutive game with an injury he sustained in Man United’s 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest earlier this month.
