HERE WE GO! Man United reached agreement with long-term transfer target as the superstar arrived on a five-years transfer deal

Manchester United will sign Cerro Porteno left-back Diego Leon pending his medical next week, with the 17-year-old set to join the Red Devils in the summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The Old Trafford club have already agreed terms with the teenage sensation and his club, and everything is set to be finalised formally before the end of next week once he undergoes the necessary tests.

Man United could do with the services of Leon right now as head coach Ruben Amorim is desperate to bolster his options at left-back.

Luke Shaw has continued to struggle with his fitness while Tyrell Malacia has yet to hit top gear after only recently returning from a long-term injury lay-off.

Man United want to strengthen in the position this month and are looking to sign Paris Saint-Germain left wing-back Nuno Mendes.

The Red Devils left-back Harry Amass is expected to leave, with Leicester City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy eyeing a reunion.

The 17-year-old has been named in the Man United matchday squad five times in 2024-25 but has yet to make his official first-team debut despite being one of the standout performers in pre-season.

With Leon set to arrive at the end of the season, a move elsewhere, temporarily or permanently, for Amass could be the best option for him, with the Paraguayan coming in to join the senior team.

The South American sensation has played 19 times in the Paraguayan top-flight, with two goals to his name, and he will be eager to hit the ground running at Man United once he arrives ahead of next season.

The Red Devils will be making necessary squad changes on a large scale in the summer as the current players are incapable of taking them to the next level, and a few adjustments could be made to the team this month given their underwhelming form so far.
