Sports for everyone with Stoiximan Wheels of Change for the second year in the Authentic Marathon

As an official sponsor of SEGAS and for the third consecutive year a proud supporter of the 5 km race. at the Authentic Marathon of Athens, Stoiximan, with the central message “This team changes everything”, this year again offered the possibility to People with Disabilities to participate in the race, which was held on November 9 and 10, 2024. Through the Corporate Responsibility program “Stoiximan Wheels of Change”, the company offered 50 specially made wheelchairs to People with Disabilities, promoting acceptance and respect for all. At the same time, in collaboration with experienced coaches, he provided weekly trainings, covering the participation costs and the complete preparation plan of the runners until the race, with trainings held at OAKA. This year, more than 1,200 amateur runners and volunteers, of all ages, participated in the Stoiximan Wheels of Change team, covering either the classic Marathon route (42 km) or the 5 and 10 km distances.

Among the volunteer escorts were also great sports figures, such as Antigoni Drisbiotis, Spyros Gianniotis, Lefteris Petrounias, Maria Prevolaraki, Fotis Zisimopoulos, Elisavet Teltsidou and Stergios Billas. Their presence not only reinforced the message of the action, but was also an inspiration for all participants, highlighting the value of equality in sports and the power of teamwork.

In this year’s race, in addition to AMKE “Run With Me”, founded in 2013 with the aim of promoting the inclusion of People with Disabilities in sports, Stoiximan welcomed three more organizations to her team. People with Disabilities, beneficiaries of the organizations ALS – Hellenic Association of People with Motor Neurone Disease, the Therapeutic Swimming Association “Hippokambos” and the Specially Recognized Charity Association “Open Door”, participated in this year’s marathon.
