STRIKER SIGNED: Manchester United agree a huge transfer fee to sign Premier League proven striker after the deal to sign Bryan Mbeumo collapsed due to strange reason

Manchester United are in a very tricky position this summer. The Red Devils need to identify if they want to bring in a number of new signings at attainable prices or focus on 2-3 players who can instantly increase the ceiling of the team.

In Matheus Cunha, they found the perfect balance, a player who did not cost too much considering the quality he possesses but at the same time has the potential to develop into a ceiling-breaker in Ruben Amorim’s team.

Apart from this, Man Utd have not really done any other significant business yet. It could be a case of the club pushing to secure exits before they switch their attention to potential signings, but they don’t have much time available on their hands.

Now, as per Defensa Central, a Spanish publication, Man Utd are willing to go all out to secure the signing of talented Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, ready to offer around £77.5m to secure the player.

Tchouameni was signed by the Spanish giants a few seasons ago and has quickly established himself as an important player for Los Blancos. The Frenchman has played a pivotal part in many of Real Madrid’s biggest wins in recent seasons.

Man Utd and Tchouameni – an unrealistic association

Without an iota of doubt, Man Utd would benefit massively from having Tchouameni in the ranks but it is very ambitious and quite unrealistic. Why would the Frenchman abandon a winning project in Madrid for a struggling one in Manchester.

Tchouameni is very versatile and is equally capable of playing as a central defender. He is extremely consistent and hardly has a bad game, although he might not really catch the eye considering the position he plays in.

Despite the interest from Man Utd, one would be very surprised if this were anything more than just a baseless rumour. The next few weeks will be provide a clearer picture on the same and let’s wait and see how it plays out.
