TERMS AGREED: £90million superstar rejects Manchester United’s transfer, agreed personal terms to join Arsenal as the player arrives in London to complete his medical this morning- Not VIKTOR GYOKERES

There are not many quality out and out No.9s available in the transfer market and Manchester United are desperately looking for one to solve the ongoing conundrum in their strike-force.

Swedish international, Viktor Gyokeres, who was a hit for Sporting under Man Utd boss, Amorim, has agreed to move to Arsenal for some time. However, United have now jumped in to make a huge attempt.

As per multiple reports published in the Portuguese media today morning, the Red Devils are pressing hard to hire the services of the 27-year-old striker.

As per Jornal Madeira, Arsenal have been stuck at 63.5 million euros fixed plus 10 million euros in add-ons to lure Gyokeres.

Now, the Old Trafford club have submitted the highest bid meeting the demands of Sporting CP by offering 80 million euros (£69million), 70m in fixed and 10m in add-ons.

However, JM claim that Gyokeres is not interested in joining Man Utd and his decision is ‘Arsenal or nothing’. He does not want to sign for a team who are not participating in the UEFA Champions League.

Similarly, O Jogo (news image provided below) have also reported that Man Utd are ready to meet the Lions’ asking fee of £69million, but Gyokeres has said ‘yes’ to Arsenal and has no plans of changing his decision.

Gyokeres scored the highest number of goals in the calendar year of 2024 and Amorim played a key role in his progress. The United boss is trying hard to convince the player, but he has already chosen to play for Mikel Arteta.

The 20-time English champions wanted Hugo Ekitike, but the French boy is heading to arch rivals, Liverpool.

It looks likely that United will have to look elsewhere again to strengthen the No.9 position as Gyokeres only wants Arsenal.
