TERMS AGREED: Arsenal agree terms to sign a striker who was closed to join Manchester United last week- The player will be the most expensive signing in football history

Arsenal have advanced in talks to sign Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres and could walk away from their pursuit of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, CaughtOffside has claimed.
While they remain keen on landing either of the two, a deal for Sesko is proving difficult, as Arsenal do not want to pay his €80m (£67m) release clause.
Although talks with Leipzig over a potential solution are ongoing, the North London club have reportedly set a deadline for negotiations to be resolved and could move to other targets as soon as this month.

Talks for Viktor Gyokeres advancing
According to CaughtOffside, Arsenal are ready to switch their focus to finalising a deal for ‘game-changing’ Gyokeres if Leipzig do not ease their stance on Sesko in the coming days.
The Gunners have reportedly set a deadline of June 15 for negotiations to conclude, as they appear to be growing impatient with the lack of progress in a deal for the Slovenia international.
Arsenal are believed to have reached an agreement over personal terms with Sesko, who would pen a contract until June 2030 if he moves to the Emirates this summer.
Sesko also has potential suitors in Saudi Arabia but has maintained that his preference is to remain in Europe and play for Arsenal next season.
Gyokeres is thought to be a cheaper striker option than Sesko this summer, with reports claiming he could be available for around £59m.
The Sweden international is also a concrete transfer target for Manchester United, whose boss Ruben Amorim is believed to be keen on a reunion with the Sporting star.
