“Joining Manchester United is a dream come true for me and I’m so excited to be here”: Man United’s new signing has dropped his first speech since £102million move to Old Trafford

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim could look to land Real Madrid winger Rodrygo in the coming months, according to reports from Spain – with suggestions that the Red Devils are willing to ‘ramp up’ their bid for the out-of-favour Galactico this summer.

Equipped with vast experience and talent at the age of just 24, Rodrygo also has seven goals in 33 caps for Brazil, and that experience alongside the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo would give United a much-needed boost after such a poor campaign on domestic soil.

Rodrygo ‘Likely’ to Leave Real Madrid This Summer

Man United ready to ‘ramp up’ bid to sign him.

The report by Spanish outlet AS states that Rodrigo is the ‘zenith’ of Real’s exits, and with the Brazilian in a ‘complicated moment’, he is likely to depart in the summer.

Having only scored once since February, and with Arda Guler beginning to overtake him in Real’s pecking order, prospective new boss Xabi Alonso could utilise the Turkish star more than Rodrygo – and with that, United are thought to be willing to ‘ramp up’ the bidding for the wide man to help their own battles next season.

Rodrygo is ‘hesitating’ a lot on his future, with Alonso wanting to play with two forwards at the Santiago Bernabeu, and that would only relegate Rodrigo to a supporting role at the La Liga outfit. With one foot out of Madrid, he’ll have a chat with the incoming gaffer to ensure his future at the club, where he currently earns £200,000-per-week.

United have struggled for goals this season, with only Everton and the relegated trio scoring less than them in the current campaign. That has given Amorim a lot to think about in terms of where he can strengthen in the summer, having suffered losses galore in the Premier League during his managerial reign. There is a question over whether he should improve their defensive ranks or solve their obvious attacking woes to fire the club further up the top-flight table.

Rodrygo would almost certainly help with that. Having joined from Santos in 2019, he’s since played in 267 games for the club, scoring 68 goals in the process – including 25 goals in just 64 games in the Champions League, seeing him labelled as a ‘superstar’ in the process.
