TERMS AGREED: Premier League highly rated star agreed personal terms to join Manchester United as he’s currently undergoing medical to join the Reds- Official announcement will be soon

Manchester United have moved to within touching distance of reaching an agreement for the signing of Bryan Mbeumo and the Brentford star is on course to be handed similar terms to Matheus Cunha if he completes a switch to Old Trafford in the coming days, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed.

Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim has been looking to make adjustments to his squad this summer, with Alejandro Garnacho among the names to have been urged to head through the exit door after falling out of favour, and the Portuguese tactician is seeking to wrap up his second acquisition in preparation for next season.

Wide forward has remained eager to join Red Devils this summer.

Mbeumo is waiting for permission to undergo a medical at Manchester United, according to GMS sources, after his admirers’ latest offer has resulted in them being close to striking a deal which could surpass the £62.5million paid to Wolverhampton Wanderers for Cunha earlier this month.

The Brentford talisman, who has been described as ‘insane’ thanks to the performances in his current surroundings, is increasingly likely to embark on a fresh challenge after the Red Devils refused to end their interest despite an initial offer being rejected by their domestic counterparts.

GMS sources have been informed that Manchester United’s second proposal for Mbeumo, who enjoyed a productive 2024/25 campaign, has not been rejected and is instead being finessed as the guaranteed fee has met the Bees’ expectations and add-ons are currently being discussed behind the scenes.

It is understood that the Red Devils are prepared to offer the wide forward a similar pay package as the £200,000-per-week contract that Cunha signed when he arrived at Old Trafford, meaning that he would immediately be among the top-earners if he is given the green light to move onto pastures new.

Mbeumo has only wanted to join Manchester United since it became clear they were willing to act on their interest, GMS sources have been told, and Amorim wants the deal to be completed before his squad return for pre-season training on July 7 as that will give him time to settle ahead of opening the campaign with a clash against Arsenal.
