TERMS AGREED: Top European Club agreed £325,000 a week deal to sign Marcus Rashford
Manchester United have the third-highest wage bill in the Premier League just behind Manchester City and Chelsea.
Unfortunately, most of their top earners don’t justify the money they are being paid with their performances on the field.
As a result, they are languishing 13th in the Premier League table with 23 points from 20 games, sitting only seven points above the relegation zone.
Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Casemiro are the highest earners at Old Trafford. But, Casemiro has been struggling in recent campaigns and United are said to be open to removing him from the wage bill. Bruno has been inconsistent in recent times but displayed a promising performance vs Liverpool last weekend.
Rashford, who currently earns £325,000-a-week in salary, has been a talismanic figure for the Red Devils over the years but his form has dipped significantly in recent times.
Now, the Englishman has found himself completely out of favour under new head coach, Ruben Amorim, and United are reportedly ready to let him leave the club this month.
Rashford hasn’t been named in the matchday squad in five of the last six games in all competitions. He was among the substitutes vs Newcastle United last week but wasn’t given any minutes, although Amorim’s side ended up losing the game 2-0.
Italian outlet, TuttoMercatoWeb, state that Man Utd have offered the chance to sign Rashford to several clubs with AC Milan being among them and the Rossoneri are interested in hiring the 27-year-old.
The Red Devils are prepared to let Rashford leave on a loan deal until the end of this season and the versatile forward’s big wage isn’t a problem for Milan so they are prepared to agree on a deal to sign him in January.
