Marcel Hirscher (35) has not kept up with the best in his alpine comeback.
It makes alpine legend Marc Girardelli (61) compare Hirscher to Mike Tyson, who made a comeback in the boxing ring against Jake Paul last weekend.
Hirscher is back after five years away.
- In the giant slalom start in Sölden, he was number 23, two seconds and 16 hundredths behind winner Alexander Steen Olsen.
- In the slalom start in Finland last weekend, things only went worse: Hirscher was number 46.

Girardelli elaborates:
– Slalom will also be very difficult for Hirscher in the future. It is more about being athletic and fast. There he is no longer at the top of the world than in the giant slalom, where I think he can manage to be among the top ten, says Marc Girardelli.
Hirscher can’t complain about the ski either, after Henrik Kristoffersen was second on the same skier, Van Deer.
Marcel Hirscher retired after the 2019 winter, but is now making a comeback – with the Dutch flag. The Netherlands is your mother’s home country. He was for many years the world’s best in slalom and giant slalom.
