Kamboj took 10 wickets while giving 49 runs in this match. With this he became the third bowler in the history of Ranji Trophy to take all the wickets in an innings. Before him, Premangshu Chatterjee of Bengal had taken 10 wickets for 20 runs against Assam in 1956. Whereas Pradeep Sundaram of Rajasthan had achieved this feat by giving 78 runs against Vidarbha in 1985.

Kamboj joins the club of Kumble and Mohanty
Kamboj is the sixth Indian bowler to take 10 wickets in overall first class cricket. Before him, veteran spinners Anil Kumble, Subhash Gupte and Debashish Mohanty have achieved this feat. Apart from this, this is the best bowling figure made by any bowler while playing for Haryana. Earlier, Joginder Sharma had taken eight wickets against Vidarbha in the 2004/05 season.

Born in Karnal, Haryana, Kamboj is a right-handed fast bowler as well as a right-handed batsman. He played for the Indian Under-19 team in two youth test matches against South Africa in 2019. He came into the news during the 2023–24 Vijay Hazare Trophy, when he took 17 wickets in 10 matches. Recently, while playing for India C in the Duleep Trophy, he took 8 wickets in an innings, becoming the third player to do so in the history of the tournament.
